Hi Dan, Unless you are just trying to have fun with a custom kernel... You may want to look in the "preview" directory for kernel rpms for kernel 2.4. There are also glibc (optimized for 2.4) and tux patches if you rebuild the srpm. If you are just after 2.4 without too much hassle it may help.

Linux (and thus Red Hat) supports ISA SCSI just fine. I use an Adaptec ISA SCSI on my UMAX scanner. Many older scanners came with cheap Adaptec cards (which are the way to go, IMHO). You'll have to figure out exactly what that card is in order to know for sure that you can use it. JW

I forgot to ask in previouse email about the size of the iso. Do anyone know why iso is 675mb for the first disc and 670mb for second? When I burned them on my cd I noticed the size is within 640mb size so what happened to the rest of 30 to 35mb? My installation seems to come on without a hitch
