No my previous card which worked fine was an S3.  My current card is an SiS 
5326 card I think (I'm at work right now).

I do have a 3D video card in there as well but that shouldn't affect anything.

The card is a 4Mb card and Windows 98 blazes along at 1024 so it must be a 
driver issue and not the card itself.

In both cases I was using Gnome although this time around I have HelixGnome 
installed which I have found to be faster and more stable prob due to using 
sawfish as a windowmanager.
