i was actually considering applying once i get my cert. looking at testing
in june.
as for the novices, it may actually be level 13 that has the novices.
however, i would think with all the peering problems that telocity has had
with level 13 that they would peer with someone else, perhaps UUnet?
Sounds like a CCNA (or maybe even a CCIE?) might help Telocity ALOT!
Seems like they have novices setting up their routers (Saudi Arabia? Please.)

Ok, I should have said in _most_ cases, not all. The upshot is the
same, though; you have to check to see which situation applies, a
I had the same problem here? I riped there Telocity modem of my computer. I
called them up and told to cancel this DSL line. IT SUCKS BAD and I am

Well, I'll disagree. They've not been perfect, but more than acceptable.

Listen, I had another DSL provider, they WERE GREAT 900k downloads at just
about anytime of the day. I never had a problem with anything with my past
DSL provider. I can tell you something, I am NOT paying $50 a month for
dial-up speed. AOL is not that great, but at least I no what I am getting

I have Telocity here. The installation went smoothly and on time. The
first few weeks, up time was somewhat rocky, and there have been a couple
of episodes of strange routing problems and one episode of dropped
packets, but they have mostly been reasonably reliable since then (engage

IT SUCKS!!1 I HAD IT AND GOT RID OF IT ASAP!
I have a friend who just switched from them. The provider he had
been using decided to get out of the residential DSL market, and
focus on business DSL...so they transitioned him to Telocity.
First, they failed to ramp up enough bandwidth in the region to
handle all the new customers.
