Damn, I'm glad that I get my local DSL via TDS Metrocom. I have 768k/640k
service (measured from the DSLAM output). My DSL is used for my web site
and it is very busy. Once I finally got a got pair from Ameritech, my
DSL just keeps right on ticking. When I have had to call, what hold time?
While I do pay more, as these speeds are only available to business
customers, as well as the static IP. Phone service is part of the package.
My line has been up for ages. My last major problem was a result of the
DSL modem hanging on my end. A power reset took care of that.
Maybe you should move :-)
