This sounds like a BIOS issue. I would first check the BIOS setting and
make sure it leaves the ethernet port active when in sleep mode.

I've always had best luck using squid only for http and shooting everything
else directly through iptables. This way you can basically use any software
you want regardless of how it handles proxy connections. Something like
this would work for you...
#!/bin/sh
iptables -F
iptables -t nat -F

Ok, I have asked this question before... maybe
there was just too much info the first time:
Is there any way of disabling PNP in the 2.4.18-3
kernel (RH 7.3 out of the box) without having to recompile the whole
thing?
Please help.

call the authorized_keys file authorized_keys2
say "yes" at that point as long as your are sure that it is the server you

Have you recently recompiled your kernel and possibly forgot to add support
for the ext3 filesystem?

Hi,
How do I install kernel updates using kickstart (with the rpms over nfs
using Redhat 7.3). I have tried adding
rpm -i /nfsdir/updates/kernel*.rpm to the %post section outside of the
chroot envirnoment. This doesn't work but then I tried
rpm -r /mnt/sysconfig/ -i /nfsdir/updates/kernel*.rp
Hi
I have a question about how to keep the network connection active.
The problem:
When the Linux computer is left without touching a key on the key board or
moving the mouse, it seems to fall asleep. When I try to use ftp to access
the PC, it does not work. After moving the mouse and the PC wak
