Hello,

I am desperetely trying to play one avi video file which plays on all the
windoZe systems. I found out that redhat 7.2 doesnt have any video player by
default. I tried installing a player caller " avifile" hmm but that never
happens the installation fails witha error like

error: failed dependencies:
        libac3.so.0   is needed by avifile-0.6-0.20010809.1
        libasound.so.1   is needed by avifile-0.6-0.20010809.1
        libstdc++.so.2.10   is needed by avifile-0.6-0.20010809.1
        ac3dec   is needed by avifile-0.6-0.20010809.1
        alsa-lib   is needed by avifile-0.6-0.20010809.1

I tried installing individual packages but that too didnt work. I couldnt
find out where i can get these lib*.*

Can any one please tell me how to install a movie player without much trouble
of finding out some strange dependencies.. or is there any way in which the
rpm gets installed by selecting and installing the dependencies by itself
instead of prompting me to install everything.

Regards

Sendhil
