Under hardy (Alpha 3 + updates), things are different.
The printer is not detected correctly.
In system-config-printer (0.7.78+svn1799-0ubuntu1), The device URI is :

External and internal mics don't work on Acer TravelMate 6292 with the
linux-backports-modules.
It seems that the external mic can work with alsa 1.0.15 (the
linux-backports-modules contain only alsa 1.0.15rc3 AFAIK).

When the printer is "powered on", HPLIP GUI sees the printer as idle.

active/standby are more appropriate.

Hi, I am new to Ubuntu.
This is pretty confusing, that there are two different applications for kind of
the same purpose.
Why I use Add/Remove software for some stuff, but Synaptic for other stuff?
This is confusing to me...
I discovered that I could install Conky and GKrellM via the command-li
But in Windows the volume is higher, then I use Ubuntu, and the volume
sounds so low.
And in Windows, the volume is good, I can adjust the speaker to low or
high.
But on Ubuntu I have to put the speaker volume to max to hear it like I
want it, but in Windows, I get same volume when I only have it

The sync is fairly simple.
Here is a diff between the two debian dirs.

but then Ctrl+alt+backspace shut off Ubuntu and restarted the computer or
something...

I also have this problem.

I only have one CPU, its a dual-core CPU, but it reports it as if it
were 2 separate CPU.

the Minimize button in Rhythmbox should minimize it to systray/icon.
Click on minimize = Minimize to taskbar
Ctrl + Minimize = Minimize to systray/icon
