Public bug reported: Sound doesn't work out of the box on an Acer TravelMate 6292 laptop. This laptop has an Intel HDA with chipset "Realtek ALC268". In order to make sound works, you need to tweak /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base to replace the following line : options snd-hda-intel with: options snd-hda-intel model=acer
It would be really really nice for Hardy Heron to have sound working out the box.
