I have a Intel Core 2 Duo, 4gb RAM, 500gb SATA2 disk with 16mb cache,
GeForce 8600 graphics card.
I am using Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon and Windows XP (with SP2).
On my computer, I have noticed that Windows XP boots faster than Ubuntu.
Please improve the booting speed.
