This principle was actually reworded in the last round in light of the
Webmaker initiative, to focus on "shaping the Internet" rather than
"shaping experiences". While I understand the marketing around "be a
maker" that we are using, telling people without that understanding that
they should be able to "make the Internet" isn't nearly as clear IMO.

The Manifesto is designed to be "signable" by people who aren't
Mozillians. That doesn't necessarily mean your idea is wrong, but we
need to be aware that this document has a wider purpose.
