by deleting the printer in the /etc/cups/printers.conf file, and then

though I've got compiz disabled and always have done.This is at

I have done extensive testing on this issue and it doesn't even seem
like KNetworkManager is doing anything at all. There are no debug

the RS690 chipset. You did mention that your CPU wasn't being pinned high
anymore. I think that is the main fix that this patch brings, but my chipset
is RS482 Xpress 200M, so it may be a different problem as well. I
590fps is normal on the RS690 chipset with the open source drivers. I
get around 570fps which is similar. So it looks like it is working to
me. My guess is that you are suffering from a power management problem
instead, which may be related to the new video power management code.

On my ubuntu system, it turned out to be a problem with X.org font
paths. At some point (I think between hoary and breezy) the location
of the fonts changed but the xorg.conf file didn't get changed during
the upgrade.
Once I fixed up the xorg.conf font paths, the problem went away.

Dell XPS-M1330 laptop with an Intel 3945abg wireless card
Trying to connect using Network Manager applet to an AdHoc 802.11b
network. The scan works and I can see the network, if I choose it from
the applet, I'm asked for the wep key but the

Display is set to not dim when on battery but does anyway, once dimmed
any movement of the mouse then causes it to dim further.
Dell XPS 1330m - installed with Hardy Alpha 6, updated to current as of
27.03.08. Using gnome-power-manager 2.22.0-0ubuntu2

The dimming problem doesn't occur if 'Dim display when idle' option is
deselected (along with the 'Reduce backlight brightness' setting). Would
suggest power manager is watching for activity but not seeing any for
some reason ??

@jmkhenka: Confirmed works for me. I have tried all the other
solutions and none of them worked, but as soon as i tried this one, the
touchpad worked after suspend. I am not certain if a reboot is required
first, but I imagine it is. I rebooted just to be sure.
