So then I clicked on Restricted Drivers and enabled proprietary Nvidia drivers

I want my folders to have icons.
Example, different icon for "Documents", "Pictures", "Music" and "Video"
folders.
Look this screenshot;

When visual effects are off, the fade is smooth on normal->faded.
When visual effects are turned on, when going from smooth->faded it flashes and

When, I pulled the TP cable out, it went to 0 kb/s download.
When I put the TP cable back in, it went back up to downloading 688 kb/s.
$ netstat -a | grep -v "unix"
Active Internet connections (servers and established)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State
Maybe it is a bug, because my computer goes bananas and starts download
stuff without I told it todo that.
My computer should not start to download;
A) Download stuff if I don't explicitly tell it todo so.
B) Report that I am downloading stuff, if I am not doing so.
'ifconfig' says I am downloadi
But emblems are not set for the "Documents", "Pictures", "Music" and
"Video" in the default out-of-the-box installation of Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy
Gibbon.
Also, they are just a little red circle, you cant figure out what they
represent.
Ubuntu should have some icons or emblems set default for the
"Docu

"System Monitor" says I am currently downloading at 860 KB/s and that I
have totally downloaded 1.4 GB.
But I am not downloading anything. Why does it say I am downloading stuff?

What version of System Monitor do you have?
I have System Monitor 2.21.5 with a Core 2 Duo 2.13 GHz machine, and I do not
appear to have this problem.
My System Monitor has white background instead of black as you have, and some
different icons.
