Public bug reported:

I am using Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon and I am pissed, because when I try
to update my system, to have the latest software, I can't have latest
software because there not available in the repository.

Ubuntu is the most popular Linux distribution (I think), yet I have to live
with old outdated packages.
It's like I am second-class citizen or something.

I opened Synaptic, and Wine is 0.9.46 but on Wine website, latest is 0.9.49.
I have Firefox 2.0.0.8 on official website, but latest is 2.0.0.9 but its not
there.
I have GNOME 2.20.0 but latest is 2.20.1.

In Windows XP, I can always use the latest version, I don't have to
suffer by having to use old outdated version of software.
