Public bug reported:

I use Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon.

When I select "Add/Remove..." from Applications menu.

When I choose a software that I might want to install, I cant know what version
it is. I don't know if its latest, or old version.
It must inform me, what version the package I wish to install is, so I can know
that, it is very important.

Please add so you can see what version a package is.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
