variations I can think of to get the script produced by
/usr/bin/dircolors to do the job. No luck.

images will boot me into installation on my Pentium II, so I don't
think the floppies are bad. The first floppy, the boot.img floppy, is
the one that stalls. I haven't yet gotten 6.2, so I don't know if its
images would work

distribution? I have the "PowerTools" release purchased 7/23/98
from a local university book store.
Can I download the 5.1 boot.img (for installat

Is more than 16MB needed to do this install, or is my problem
more likely something else?

The RHL4.2 system worked normally in the past -- at some unknown point
in the past the current behavior started . I don't any more recall

Perhaps the tape uses the floppy drive interface? I'm a little soft on
just what the interface is, but it is not SCSI. The tape is definitely
not a DAT type, and the above is the best ID on it I have been able
