RH 5.0 - Time Messed Up

ide zip drive??

Just a quick and dumb question. Has anyone experience with an ide zip drive. Does it just look like another hard drive and is it automatically detected? The guy at the store said it should be on the same cable as my main hard drive and then have my cdrom on a separate cable. Does this make sense?
