Saw your reply regards Samba. After about a day and half, which I considered a learning curve, Samba works very well with Win95 and NT workstation (no experience with NT server yet). Major points I found in my learning curve was some of the following Case sensititive needed to be rem'd out. Similar for short preserve On security leave only share modes <- MAJOR deal Browseable = yes (so it can be seen) [roberts-files] <- ideally 8 chars or less, and suspect on numerics being a not acceptable the immediate forgoing is a big deal as is the permission to see it such as user = <your computer name> ONLY other MAJOR MAJOR item to be aware of is that the Win95(a) fix or patch for fixing password file, did not work properly with previous versions of SAMBA. Also get the most current RPM version from the SAMBA site, 184 or something like that. That's it... Just very very easy... at least to this point... By the way there are many examples in the samba example directory. I found them very informative.
