I doubt that there will be a free rpc.nisd in the near future, if nobody really starts to implement one." Not encouraging at this point... it appears that NIS+ client support exists in glibc 2.0.92 (test release). Maybe I'll have to make my Solaris box the server for the time being until there's an rpc.nisd for Linux. Thanks for the info.
