Hi,
 No good news on this issue.   Samba on redhat is really screwed up.   I am having
the same problems over here.    I have paticular account that belongs to the root
group.  If the win95 client logs in as that user then and only then can it get to
the files on the Linux box.

Question:   Are any of the shares on your Linux box showing up on the Network
Nieghborhood in the win95 desktop.   The three machines on my LAN seem to have
disappeared.  But I type the paths manually I can find them.   Even if i do
Computer serch I still find them but they are not shown on the Network Tree.
