I have a WinNT box with an LPR port added to send printer stuff
to my Linux printer (laser). Linux is eating my print jobs! I
can print from the linux box. If I change the port to a wrong
port, I can see my WinNT print jobs queueing, but when I change
back to the right port and restart the queue, the print jobs
disappear. If I print new stuff, it never goes to the printer.
Why are my remote print jobs getting eaten?

Running WinNT Server 4.0 SP3 and RHL 5.0 with 2.0.32 kernel, lpr
version 0.21 installed. Printer is a Canon LPB-860 on /dev/lp1.
Here is my printcap file:

lp:\
 :sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp:\
 :mx#0:\
 :sh:\
 :lp=/dev/lp1:

NT box has an IP addy of 192.168.1.1 (named santa) and Linux is
192.168.1.2 (named frosty). My /etc/hosts.lpd has only a single
line in it with Santa's IP addy in it.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Kevin
