After installing ttf-liberation everything became ungarbled.
Looks like ttf-liberation should be a dependency of AbiWord, or
AbiWord should handle other fonts more gracefully.

I suppose it will be safer to wait for debbuild on sparc. It was an arch bug,

think this should be done. The only reliable guess the
shell can make is by $EDITOR.
Asking questions at install time increases overhead for

By far the most straightforward resolution is to change all the plugin scripts
to invoke bash explicitly. Here's a patch against the current Debian
experimental version that accomplishes just that.
