Yeah, sure. It works by replaces GNOME's segfault handler. Main purpose of this package is to direct crashes towards the Debian BTS instead of GNOME's Bugzilla. > so I guess that debreaper only works with applications that were > compiled against libgnomeui, which isn't the case of either xosview > or liferea. Even if it were so: why does it then get called for other applications? As I said, I use the default configuration. If it should be called only for some applications' crashes, than the package should take care of that fact instead of going into an endless loop. Anyway, IIRC I also had the same problem with gnome-panel which depends on libgnomeui. > The description might mention that fact, I assume. The description does not mention anything in that direction. In contrary: It suggests to be valid for all applications in a X session: "When an application crashes in a running X session, it will spawn the user's configured email client with a pre-filled bug report that is ready to send." I still insist that this package fails completely in doing this in my environment (and probably many others since I don't see what should be so special here) and therefore reset the severity to grave. And since the package is not in Lenny, this RC level bug doesn't delay Lenny.
