Hi Martin, while I agree that most people use Emacs bindings, I don't think this should be done. The only reliable guess the shell can make is by $EDITOR.
Asking questions at install time increases overhead for administrators and should generally be avoided, imo. What about adding said question with low importance? Clint, what do you think?
