Mmm... miguelquiros is right. There's a problem in the installation of
the language pack files. They aren't be updated in the right order, so
the Firefox translation is lost. They must be installed in the right
order (ensuring language-pack-es-base is installed at the very end) for

Since latest updates on Jaunty, I'm unable to run Evolution. It freezes
on startup. The UI is only partially drawed, and then hangs.

More info, step by step:
1. I boot the computer.
2. When GDM appears, I go into VT1 (Ctrl-Alt-F1) and log into my user.
3. If I do "alsamixer -Dhw:0" or "alsamixer -c0", I get all the channels
unmuted.
4. If I then do "alsamixer", I get only one muted PulseAudio channel, and the
following error
OK, now I can see the problem. I't my fault. We had two files,
~/.asoundrc and ~/.asoundrc.asoundconf. The last one contained the
following:
pcm.!default { type pulse }
ctl.!default { type pulse }
The above was causing troubles. I'd just removing the two files, and now
it seems to works well.

I can confirm this strange behavior. For example:
0. Start without buddy list (close the buddy list if it's opened).
1. Open a terminal (Applications->Accesories->Terminal).
2. Click on Indicator Applet icon and then select Pidgin.

I'd just booted my computer this morning, and again I had a Master
channel muted. This bug is definitely NOT solved for me.

chance to read it. I think that window should be displayed in front of
the whole desktop.

Actually, I found the same problem in the "Restart required" dialog. The
window is hidden behind the other windows, and the user could be stay
hours without restarting the computer. I don't know if I need to open
another bugreport for this.

Curiously, when you click on the Indicator Applet icon and select
Pidgin, the buddy list appears just BEHIND the window having the focus.
Try to following:
1. Open Firefox, full maximized.
2. Open a Terminal.
3. Click on Indicator Applet -> Pidgin.
