Worth to note about the acpi tarball is the errors I got on the command
"cp -r /proc/acpi /tmp":
cp: reading `/proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/alarm': No such device
cp: reading `/proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state': No such device
cp: reading `/proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info': No such device
cp: cannot open `/proc
Another thing worth noting happened when I tried to hibernate. The
screen went blank as expected but stayed blank. I waited 3 mins or so
before finally pressing the power button. When I booted again I got a
blinking cursor and nothing else, so I restarted the system. This log is
from that last rest

Reboot the PC: solves nothing.
Load Epiphany with no other software loaded: same problem.

Update: It seems I spoke to soon, it did not fix it this time. However
an "apt-get clean" followed by "dpkg --configure -a" did. I encounter

The same problem here, also on Ubuntu Lucid. Eventually I also used
usermod to unlock and clear (delete) the new user's password and make it
usable with no password.

I have "/sbin/shutdown -h 00:15" in crontab at 00:10. When I want to shutdown
my computer at -say- 00:12 however and I simply hit the button on the "session
indicator aplett (0.1)" it takes me to the login screen. Since shutdown
prevents new logins in the last five minutes

Hi there,
On my Compaq Presario V3000 the brightness doesn't change, nor does OSD show
when pressing the function keys. Brightness can be controlled from the Gnome
power manager.

I added the gmail plasmoid again, after a lot of bug fixes. It works flawless
and with no error at all.
So if this error still reports somewhere it will be another PythonAppletScript
that has an error.

It is the gmail plasmoid that generate this fault reporting. I could see that
after removing of widgets one by one and restart of Kubuntu between.
But the plasmoid worked perfectly despite this error.
