Public bug reported: This is a suggestion : During the installation of Ubuntu Server, before the "proxy/mandatory" window, the installer should ask for the availability of an "Apt-Proxy".
Explanation : My linux boxes does not have direct access to Internet but I've got an Apt-Proxy running. At the moment, the Ubuntu repository check process fails during the install and this make the sources.list quite empty. Ask for a "Are you running an apt-proxy ? Yes/No" and generate the sources.list according to the answer could be a great improvement ;) Thanks by advance. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- During install, Before the "proxy" window, the installer should ask for the availability of an Apt-Proxy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/181191 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
