Hi,
With the latest Ubuntu, I still noticed problems with compiz not loading at
startup.
However, if I change the desktop appearance to "Best performance" then
compiz starts up fine.

Well, my computer prompted me for updates and this bug now appears to be
fixed.
While I did not see any similar bugs reported, this must have been on
somebody's list. Thank you.

The problem was fixed by the latest update that was just released.
I am not sure what changed, but Firefox is rendering everything
correctly. apt-cache shows 0.30.0+repack-0netbook2 was upgraded from

I can confirm this issue in Gutsy Herd 5 running on a D600 as of 11:45PM
on September 10th, 2007. The desktop was unusable upon reboot from
install. I had to Alt-F2, run "gnome-appearance-manager" and disable
all Desktop Effects, and restart Gnome in order to make the computer

I had updated to current version and still received errors, from looking
on Google, I came to the conclusion that the sources.list had not update
properly, so I had to go in manually and edit it myself.

I have the same issue with XGL. I am running Edgy Eft with Beryl 0.1.4,
ATI fglrx driver 8.32.5-1, and xserver-xgl
7.0.0.git.20060725-0ubuntu2.1. The screensaver causes XGL to crash and
the login screen appears. It is reproducible if I preview the
screensaver using system preferences.

I was able to resolve this issue by unmounting the media with the CD
still in the drive. I then ejected the CD from the CD ROM drive, then
reinserted the media into the CD ROM and closed it.
It mounted the black disk and I was able to burn as usual. Hope this

I tried to install Ubuntu 10.04 by mistake on my 9.10 Ubuntu, so it
asked me to remove so many important files because they couldn;t be
updated. So i did, but then i lost all my Ubuntu and i had to reinstall
again 9.10 . The reason i got as answer was that 10.04 does not support
those files anymore
I am running the Lucid beta, did not see prism installed on my system.
Deleting the compatibility.ini file method is working for me.
I do have to keep deleting the compatibility.ini file each time after using
Firefox or it will fail to launch next time.

Yes, GMail adds an auto-bcc to yourself for any message sent through
SMTP-MSA, this isn't IMAP or POP specific.
This does mean you don't need to automatically save a copy in the sent
folder.

This has NOT been fixed in Bionic. or it came back. My cron script
that uses a program in /snap/bin can not be found I have to create a sym
link to /usr/bin

When I lock Ubuntu with the lock screen option or the screensaver pops
up and I log back in, the Dock vanishes and does not return unless I log
out or reboot the system.
