libGLw.so is not lesstif/Motif specific. This library is required by applications which use OpenGL along with the Xtoolkit. It provides widgets suitable for OpenGL drawing. Xtoolkit is the traditional X11 widget library. GLwDrawA is similar to the widgets provided by the gtkglarea library for the gtk world.
