I figured out what happened. It appears that I some how I previously pressed the "J" while hovering over "New Window", where the menu was open under File > New Window. It appears that if you press anything while being above that command it will change the function. I did not realize that it was changing the command like that. Seems very easy to do since there is no way to switch the feature on and off. Anyhow, thank you.
