Public bug reported:
dh_desktop just looks for new .desktop files in /usr/share/applications.
But packages which aren't installed through the offical repositorys
should by convention be installed in /usr/local and so also the correct
folder for their .desktop file is /usr/local/share/applications.
I updated the packages in my PPA based on your suggestions. The
alternative system is now used, based on the prerm and postinst scripts
in Stéphane's 0.5.4 build. The packages have also been uploaded in
.orig.tar.gz and diff.gz format.

By installing it to disc I mean installing Ubuntu the normal way by
booting from CD, etc... instead of using Wubi. I guess I don't know
enough about how Wubi works to help any more with this bug. Good luck!

After a couple of difficulties in editing the sudoers file, (basically
learning vim) I got it working according to the directions posted.
Thanks for the fix. One thing to note: although the gksu password
prompt does not ask for a fingerprint, it will accept the fingerprint.
Hope they update this i

Public bug reported:
I have two systems running Gutsy 64-bit. Both problems are related to

This bug seems to be closer to a question about how to get the card
working than it is about easy installation. The issue here is that
unfortunately, Linksys hasn't helped the linux kernel developers create
drivers for this wireless card, and the best that the kernel devs have
come up with so far

I actually solved this issue a little while ago, but forgot to post my solution
here. here are the forum posts with my solutions:

This request appears to have two parts:
1) sync fldigi from debian unstable
2) package PSKmail from http://pskmail.wikispaces.com/Download - it is under a
GPL license ( http://pskmail.wikispaces.com/COPYING )
I think this is enough for a MOTU to be able to pick this up, then.
** Summary changed
This is likely more an issue with Wubi than it is Ubuntu itself. Does
it crash if you don't do the apt-get update/upgrade? How about if you
install it directly to disc (if possible) and then reboot?
