Have just spent a very frustrating day trying to work out why SM was hanging every
time I launched it - this only effected me and no other users. After much tweaking
configuring and playing with the user.pref file the light suddenly dawned. The

cant find anything in the archives or in the documentation.
I know disclaimers suck and hold no value but i dont have an option. I
guess I can do this on my MTA but I would prefer to do this with
squirrelmail.

If it will not work I do not want it on my system displaying errors to
the users.
It is not listed as a plugin but I am assuming there is a way to get rid.

when I try to go into folders to try and subscribe/unsubscribe folders I
never make it there the browser just hangs. I let it run one day for 2
hours and nothing ever came back. I knew I would have to subscribe

I had no problem running the imapproxy configuration under the same setup
as yours (RH 9). You need to start the service using (as root) "service
imapproxy start". Yes, their scripts are sparse, but I installed them and
they worked. Try "ps aux | grep imapproxy" afterwards to see if your

We don't use PHP's IMAP library, if that's what you're asking.
SquirrelMail has it's own IMAP support

and I am using qmail for our Maildir.

I managed to configure the SM for all my virtual hosts and they are working
fine on SSL now. but now my next problem is how do i configure new mailbox
for a particular domain.
I have a domain.com website and a default user called dom1 and pass dom1.
Now i want to create one more mailbox
So, will the line:
score USER_AGENT -0.7
added to my local.cf do the job? I chose -0.7 because lack of X-Mailer adds
0.7 points to the score.
