Hi all, Have just spent a very frustrating day trying to work out why SM was hanging every time I launched it - this only effected me and no other users. After much tweaking configuring and playing with the user.pref file the light suddenly dawned. The problem was not with SM at all, I use SM to fetch mail via pop from my personal account (SM is a work account) and had it set to download on launch and on folder update. Trouble was that there was an email (SPAM) on that server that was causing the Fetch plugin to hang and thus the whole SM program hung. Have it now set to only check on folder update. This is not a bug in SM but a trap that others might find themselves in so thought I would post it to the list.
