Hi Everyone, I have been on this problem on more than 8 hours now.
I had a perfectly working squirrelmail/php/apache with italian localisation, but I had to recompile php in order to get rid of some occasional php segmentation faults shown in the apache error log. I have recompiled with the following php options: ./configure --with-gettext=shared --sysconfdir=/etc --mandir=/usr/share/man --with-config-file-path=/etc/php4/apache --with-apxs=/usr/bin/apxs --with-mm --enable-so --enable-versioning The gettext.so module loads fine after commenting out the corresponding line in php.ini and phpinfo() clearly shows "GetText Support enabled". Still... when I visit the Squirrelmail login page, it is in English. I have indeed changed /etc/squirrelmail/config.php with $squirrelmail_default_language = 'it_IT'; and deleted all cookies just in case. I am running on a Debian Woody box with: - apache 1.3.26-0woody3 - squirrelmail 1.2.10-2.8 - php4 4.1.2 (from debian mirrors: "apt-get source php4") Hope someone can help!
