Well, I have found what was causing the problems. I noticed that I could
not access any of the ports from the outside. So I looked at the
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 file and deleted the following lines:

things needed to make it work however it was really easy. I've also setup
Oracle 8 under Linux 7.2/7.3. Took a bit more work to build a stable database.

I did a net install of Red Hat 9 and it worked--but I used NFS. As
always, I had to futz to get the path right, bu
I'm not sure if this will help, but I recently had to install python
1.5.2 and tcl/tk 8.0. I had to use gcc296 to get them to compile. The
newer gccs are pickier about what is and isn't allowed. It may not be
your problem, but that's certainly an easy one to try.

It was never an issue understanding what an ISO is and it's role...
What I was looking for... were the actual files themselves... for the most
part, the responses I got, were dealing with the ISOs... The actual RH9.0
"installation files" can be found on the RH Ftp site .
