If you haven't got a response yet...
 I had the same problem last week.  There is actually a 'installation
notes' download available with the download - I didn't see it when I
first downloaded it...
The trick is to set the permissions chmod, then start the file with
./filename...blah...rpm.bin
note the dot slash at the beginning.  Linux doesn't search the current
directory as part of the path.
