I'm using RH 9.0 (2.4.20-8) As far as my default state of a system after installation have not detected and installed my lucent internal modem (Microelectronics 56K internal /L) I had to find correct linux drivers for my exact version of kernel. I did it well.
The problem appeared after the installation of a rpm package (ltmodem-kv_2.4.20_8-8.26a9-1.i686.rpm). I have not been able to until now modem to get to work. Network devices shows up the modem correctly but did not activate it yet. It seems that I have stuck up somewhere or have not configured my modem correctly then. Is there anybody who have similar problem or any experience with dealing with this kind of situation? What should I do immediately after the installation of a package? Any detailed help will be very appreciated. Thanx for any help. PS.
