Hi all, When custom compiling kernel 2.6.3, I got all these depmod *** notices: depmod: *** Unresolved sybmols in /lib/modules/2.6.3.20040305-orca /kernel/drivers/acpi/thermal.ko I read 'man depmod' and don't understand whether all this depmod output means my kernel install went well or badly.

xmms and sound card configuration

Well my attemps at finding the address of my soundcard (if thats what its called) are not going as I have planned. Sound works within X and with mpg321 how do i find out where my soundcard is ie. /dev/whateve ... or something like that... im getting very frustrated.. thanks Thomas -- To UNSUBS

Hello! another extreme annoyance this time... a whole key was lost under x... xev tells me its the key 0x0. its the lower left key of a 104 key kbd... above the windowssign, right to shift, in diagonal to left ctrl left to y... holds for me (german layout) the less/greater/pipe symbols
