My backspace key has suddenly stopped working in X.
Now it acts like a [Delete] Key.
This happened when my KBD package died along with my /usr/loal/
directory, but did not recover when I reinstalled KBD.

It keeps complaining that it can't locate 'perl-base'.

There are a number of things to do, after you get what you need from
ftp.debian.org. Any attempt I might make here would be incomplete and
possibly inaccurate. I think there is a book out on Debian, does anyone
know how applicable it is to this sort of question, what the title is,
etc.?

I am running a hamm system with the latest updates. For the past few
weeks ncurses-bin and ncurses-base upgrades were failing because
/usr/share/terminfo already existed. I mv-ed /usr/shre/terminfo to
