Just a note, everyone should continue to use the debian-user@lists.debian.org address.
The fact that va.debian.org is sometimes in the headers is just a small error. If you reply to an email please make sure it is cc'd to lists and not va or things will go bonkers when we get the new new list server. The list server should generate correct names now.
