I feel happy to let you know that I've root caused why root-tail isn't
able
to display the text on the X window.
The X version shipped with Sarge is veresion 4.3 which has loose support for
UTF encoding. AFAIK X.org's implemention has better/full support for UTF

documentation directory should be replaced with the
pygtk.require("1.2"). That is very easy to verify, just look inside the

if you do curl -D header.txt -O
http://ftp.task.gda.pl/debian/dists/sarge/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz
you will see curl mistakes the first chunk of the file as being part of
the header! I believe if you glue these bits together you will get the
original file.

This bug is not in DBD::CSV, but in SQL::Statement, the SQL
mini-engine - I tested this using DBD::Excel and I get the same
erroneous behavior :-(
Anyway, I'm also the maintainer for libsql-statement-perl, so that
does not free me from digging into it

I had my LADSPA_PATH=/usr/lib/ladspa/ set in my .bashrc
Unfortunately your ams script does not parse this as being the same as
/usr/lib/ladspa and so appends :/usr/lib/ladspa to the LADSPA path
which for some reason causes a segmentation fault.
