if you do curl -D header.txt -O http://ftp.task.gda.pl/debian/dists/sarge/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz
you will see curl mistakes the first chunk of the file as being part of the header! I believe if you glue these bits together you will get the original file. compare with wget -S http://ftp.task.gda.pl/debian/dists/sarge/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz I think there's something fishy with the content-encoding header. There seems to be a null byte after the word zip. -- Robert Hart <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> University of Nottingham This message has been checked for viruses but the contents of an attachment may still contain software viruses, which could damage your computer system: you are advised to perform your own checks.
