** Each user will be able to set up a user ODBC connection and connect under his/her profile. The issue is that it's not just one form. If it were let say Help Desk or something - then yes set permission on the fields in the form. There are other forms - Surveys, Change Management, etc... That person would have to set permissions on every field - except the Ztemp fields - and there is also the option that what if I need to create "join forms."

Give CRReporter read access to all the fields in the form on which you wish to report. You can build your entire CR output with this kind of access to the dev server. For the workflow portion, you're going to have to convince management that you need access. Maybe help him set you up as a subadmin with access to that one form. Then send him here. We won't burn him. We promise. Everybody has to learn somewhere, sometime. If he can't get BMC Remedy training, having a dev server and an ARSlist account is the next best thing. One other question. When this report is completed and moved to the production server, what account will be used to run the report? HTH, John J. If it will make the new person feel better, ensure that there's a good DB backup before you log in, and take a .def file backup right after. We know you probably won't need them, but the way to counter his irrationality is by calming him. If that doesn't work, I wouldn't even deal with him further - go over his head until you get someone to answer the first question I posed. Wonder why the previous person walked out...
