duplicate Bug #1791659.
The issue is as described here: the night light mode turns off as the
screen starts dimming right before it blanks. The mode then needs to be
turned off and on to work again.

inconsistent. With a different brand, the original workaround (turning
night light off and back on) works, without needing to unplug the

This is partially fixed in 12.04 beta: the launcher icon of the new app has a
progress bar, and wiggles when it is finished installing.
But if "new applications in launcher" is unticked in USC, there is no sign that
the installation is finished if USC is closed.

I have a problem that is maybe related: I noticed that the screenshots
for Luciole and Stopmotion where inverted in Software Center on my
computer. I am not able to reproduce this for the moment. I just know
that I installed those two one right after the other.
Here are two screenshots to show you
I am affected by this bug but the command in comment #9 doesn't return
anything.
lspci returns this:
