I have seen this message for a few days.
I see two problems here:

1. The user clicks "try again" because they think it might fix the
problem and actually find updates. Because of the message "Check your
Internet connection", the user thinks it is a problem on their end. They
probably think that clicking "ok" will just close the software updater
and do nothing.

2. There should be an option like "see details" in order to be able to
localise the problematic repository or ppa. Without that option, the
"Settings..." button is useless, as it does not direct to a solution to
fix the problem.
