I have seen this message for a few days. I see two problems here: 1. The user clicks "try again" because they think it might fix the problem and actually find updates. Because of the message "Check your Internet connection", the user thinks it is a problem on their end. They probably think that clicking "ok" will just close the software updater and do nothing.
2. There should be an option like "see details" in order to be able to localise the problematic repository or ppa. Without that option, the "Settings..." button is useless, as it does not direct to a solution to fix the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1161776 Title: Failed to download repository information To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/1161776/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
