New kernel did not fix it. Intrepid Alpha5 freezes laptop completely
after the message "Rebooting the system" is displayed. Keyboard is dead
as well as CD-ROM eject button, and the only thing that can be done is
to power machine off by holding Power button.

The bug was fixed by new stkwebcam kernel module in Alpha 4. However,
when moving to the new kernel webcam is not being detected at all!
Running "modprobe stkwebcam" does not help. Ekiga shows no input video
device as well. Tested on Alpha 5.

Network-Manager-PPTP is now included with Intrepid thank you very much.
However, pptp-linux located on desktop CD is not installed by default.
As a result, no VPN connection can be configured. There is no way to add
VPN connection using Live Session even when pptp-linux is being manually
installed,
New 2.6.27-* kernel included with Intrepid Aplha5 now enables sound
right out of the box. However, the sound level is low, and the mike
produces poor quality sound which is also faint to the point of being

This issue propagates to Intrepid Alpha5 with 2.6.27-* kernel. In fact, when
booting from desktop Live CD, the panel can only be configured to 1024x768
resolution. Pushing it to 1024x800 widescreen fails with both VESA and nv
drivers.
By default the screen is still being recognized as 'Plug and

Just noticed in Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit that printing multiple copies of the

Dear Till, thank you for your prompt response! I am terribly sorry,
there was indeed no problem with the driver. What fooled me was printing
from PDF file where "Global" settings in print dialogue (number of
copies, collate copies etc.) are document specific (are being stored on
per document basis)
Nope. The "all_generic_ide" option stopped working as of 9.04 (Jaunty).
Things get broken with every new release as usual. Audio, web cam, hot
keys, rebooting, you name it. Could not fix reboot issue on my Asus F5N
so far. Any ideas?
