Ahem... did the kernel team take a peek? This seems to be a very simple
to fix but very annoying bug.
It seems also quite urgent: we need it solved to report info to suspend-
related bugs (for example, suspend not working on my Amilo 1650G), so if
it will be fixed the day before the final release,
Bug seems to be solved, at least on my Amilo 1650G and on my desktop
(both with Intrepid updated daily). In particular, "/proc/acpi/alarm"
disappeared while "/sys/class/rtc/rt0/wakealarm" finally appeared and
works well.
This means if I give (notice my hardware clock is set to UTC+2) the following
I installed development Intrepid, and there (apparently introduced in
addition to standard kernel) is acer_acpi.
Since this bug covers only the point of view of an ex-acer_acpi user,
and since the problems I face with acer_acpi in intrepid are treated in

sorry but my english is not very good.
I have the same problem with the sam message of CRCarl.
I from 8.10 to 9.04 RC (Amd64) and my mouse doesnt' work and only thing that I
can do is to reset.
I had only simply to upgrdate from 8.10 to 9.04..

The only symptom of this issue is the error message. If your desktop is
locked up there are more serious issues. I strongly suggest you try and get
into a console, (Ctrl-Alt-F5) get a copy of /var/log/dmesg and
/var/log/messages and start a thread at http
