Hi acidicX, can you explain how to install this newer kernel? I am worried that 
I could trash my system irreparably if I do this wrong. Using BASH, do we enter:
$ sudo apt-get install linux-image-2.6.27-2-generic
...and then assume that apt will identify the necessary module updates?
Are there other commands we should enter, like autocleaning the apt repository? 
I do this too rarely to remember the proper way.
