Martin, this issue has been up many times during at least the last 3-4
years in forums, lists and various bug trackers. The system is
fundamentally broken IMO, and this is for some reason the suggested way
to go about fixing it.
The *correct* way to fix it would be to:
1. don't decide weekday bas
And oh, again, I don't ever want to have to fiddle with LC_* variables
or even know that they exist for this to work, as they do in any other
major OS. That was fine in the 90's. If it's supposed to be in a GUI, it
better be the option "week starts on" as it is in any say calendaring
program.

Oh, so it's a recorded sound... it sure sounds more like "somethings
broken in my speakers". I think it is the same, but it seems it is
played a bit faster (and therefore also at a higher pitch) when it
indicates suspend failure.

Good call on the long sleep time, I have to verify but I think it may be
the same for me - I wondered a bit what it could be that triggered it
sometimes and sometimes not, and I think the most common case is when
I've left it overnight, but also other cases when I've been away for a
longer while.
Same here with a HP2710p, it works but gives the message and beeps
briefly but loudly when resuming. It was silent both message-wise and
soundcard-wise earlier in the betas, though I'm not sure exactly when it
started misbehaving.

I have a DiNovo media keyboard + mouse that works via a bluetooth USB
dongle, and this has been working for a long time, and still works.
It's the dongle that came with the Logitech DiNovo keyboard and mouse,
not sure if it has any specific name or so...

Binary package hint: gnome-applets
In the quest of being a desktop for human beings, with a human-friendly
interface:
What is PCM? Does any regular user know? Does it make sense that the
volume applet displays PCM: 100% when hovering over it, or that PCM is
the main control
The ldconfig line from All Yours lets me import the library without any
errors.

Juergen: As I commented in one of the duplicates, pulseaudio or
libflashsupport are not the issue for me either. But disabling desktop
effects stopped all the crashes for me - though the problem started
occuring at the exact same time as for everyone else, a few weeks back.
Before that it has worke
Is the functionality still around? Maybe on server? If you are a
developer, did you try it? This was a long time ago, and I'm using the
Lives to install now.

I can attach a screenshot of how it looks - as for repeating it, it's
the same for any PDF, and I've tried a lot. No difference if opening
from Nautilus, or via invoking evince or xdg-open on command line. So
there is only
bgerlich: Not true for me. The values in that file seem sane, and even
so, editing the values or deleting the file does not change the behavior
for me.
