With the updated description, maybe I should mention that my partitions are not made with Partition Magic or any of the parted variants, but as far as I can recall only managed from within Ubuntu and its installers. Nor are the affected partitions NTFS or FAT, they are both ext3 systems.
I'm not so sure about the wrapped partitions either... cfdisk does not show anything like that, especially for hdd1 which is the only partition on hdd (unless I'm missing something).
