I can finally run startx and X works great. However if I logout of X and run
startx again the keyboard/PC freezes at a black screen. I don't know if the PC

I have an intrepid install and a Number Nine Revolution IV AGP video card
(32MB) with a SGI 1600SW LCD monitor. When I first installed intrepid running

I am not certain if this is the same bug, but wihat I am seeing is; the
screesaver wont start after I turn it off, play a GL accelerated game like
FlightGear or SecondLife, then turn it on again.

I haven't thought about this problem for quite some time as it is fixed
for me. The problem was that i had installed the extension ErrorZilla
which displays a more useful error page than the normal firefox one.
Unfortunately there seems to be a problem with the new error page
behavior of firefox 3.

I get this on 2.6.27-8 as well. SSB interferes with ndiswrapper. I
cannot seem to blacklist ssb. I use b44/ssb for my wired link BCM4401. I
just want ndiswrapper to run my wireless and leave ssb and b44 alone.

is missing from the source code. I managed to compile the i128 with the above

Ok I finished downloading alpha-5 and then I did the rsync. I burned the iso
to cd-rw, booted from the cd, selected English, removed splash and quiet from
the command line and pressed enter. About 2 or 3 seconds into the boot the
screen went from text to graphical text. Once the system fully
OK I switched back to tty1 and saw:

After doing a dist-upgrade today (8/17/2009) since my last one on the
night of 8/16/2009, suspend to ram seems better. It now wakes up, but
not by hitting a key on the keyboard. When I do that, the keyboard
lights come on, but nothing else. If I click a mouse button, the mouse

Down loaded Firefox 3.5.1.
Installed over original installation.
Restarted Firefox.
This seems to have solved the problem.

To clarify:
When opening the Organize Bookmarks in the Bookmarks menu, the window
that opens is very small, which when expanded is completely blank.
Cannot not use any function at all in Organize Bookmarks,

The strange thing is even when the Audigy card is selected as the
default sound device sometimes i still don't get any sound.

I had this problem with bcm43xx after upgrading from 7.04 to 7.10 as
well. I ran ndiswrapper on 7.04 so, after removing ndiswrapper, and
reinstalling ndiswrapper from source with no success. I then spent many
frustrating hours trying and failing to get the firmware cutter
restricted driver to work
Hi Jonathan ... I have only test 7.04 of kubuntu ubuntu and Xubuntu It's
the same for all 3...
Fans are running well and they cooling the system , I think that all is OK with
the material since the begining
I Think that originals value of critical temperature are just wrong or too
few
